Join Mike for this inspiring workshop drawing unique perspectives of the everyday.
Drawing everyday objects can be mundane – or thrilling! This 3-hour workshop is designed to help you (re)discover your artistic voice through a focus on blending colours. Using a range of drawing materials, Mike will guide you in a simple process from initial inspiration to finished work.
Who is it for
This is a workshop for teens and adults of all levels – whether you are starting out, looking to find your artistic voice, or to extend your existing studio practice. Via a straightforward, structured approach together with personalised tips, Mike will guide you in:
exploring what truly captures your eye and imagination;
‘seeing’ everyday objects as form, colour, texture, movement and light;
discovering how colour blending and layering can nurture your artistic voice;
experiencing the joy of mastering colour relationships.
What you will get:
All materials are supplied.
You’ll leave with your own unique frame-ready drawing!
What to bring:
We’ll be working from objects and photos as inspiration, so if you have an everyday item from home (or a photo of it) you’d like to base your drawing on, bring it along!
Please bring an apron, cover-shirt or old clothes;
Latex gloves will be provided, but please bring your own disposable gloves if you cannot wear latex.
