Our after school art club is the ultimate place for kids aged 5-10 to let their creativity run wild, experiment with different art forms, and make new friends in a fun and welcoming space.
Fridays | 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM | Starts NSW Term 2 - May 9th til June 27th
Led by Elle, a passionate and experienced arts & crafts facilitator with years of experience, each session is designed to spark imagination and give every child the freedom to express their unique identity through art. From painting and collage to clay and textured art, no two weeks will be the same!

Sand casting workshop August | Dead Poets Co.
Ancient Art of Wax Carving and Sand Casting:
This immersive 5–6 hour workshop guides you through the process of carving your desired ring design from wax, creating a mould with Delft clay, and then melting and pouring metal into the mould to cast your piece.

Mindfulness and Embroidery
As we enter Spring, it's the perfect time for embracing change and reflection.
Join me in practice of mindfulness embroidery, cultivating a new chapter in the year. This workshop is about creating balance in your life through learning about how mindfulness matters and how to take control of challenging moments.

This workshop will be lead by Mariam Chanaoui, a multi-discplinary artist working on Gundungurra and Dharawal country. I delve into my Palestinian heritage during highschool and discovered Tatreez. At the time I found that I needed to be as much my own teacher and researcher. Fast forward, I furthered my education in a Bachelor of Creative Arts and now regularly deliver workshops in this ancient art.

Lino Printing Workshop | Sydney Craft Week 2025
Learn to carve lino and make a print in this fun, accessible and satisfying workshop! You'll walk away with a funky piece of art or cards that you've made by hand, plus a 'stamp' that you can use again! This workshop is part of Sydney Craft Week. There will be an exhibition and local makers works to purchase at the shop too. This workshop is run by Elle McNeill. She has a design degree, majoring in textiles and object design as well as many lino-printing workshops under her belt.

Palestinian Embroidery Workshop: Tatreez
Please join us in the spirit of community and sharing, as we explore the art of Tatreez.
This coming together is in honour of the Palestinian people, their heritage and their fight for freedom.
This workshop will be lead by Mariam Chanaoui, a multi-discplinary artist working on Gundungurra and Dharawal country. I delve into my Palestinian heritage during highschool and discovered Tatreez. The practice of Tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) originated in Palestine over 3,000 years ago. It is a unique form of embroidery that brings together coloured threads in various patterns to create traditional motifs. Motifs were area-specific, as well as symbolic of important events and everyday life such as a wedding or pregnancy, features of nature and more recently of freedom.
The afternoon will include
Story telling and sharing of the origins of Tatreez
A range of different designs and colours for different meanings and regions.

We have a six week course starting August 28th and another course will begin in Term 4, following the completion of that course.
Your host
Elle has been sewing since she was a kid, taught by a patient mother and free reign on the sewing machine.. When she was a teenager she was lucky enough to attend quilting classes ,which set her up for her current business - sewing towel hoodies from recycled towels. She believes sewing is an empowering skill to have, both creative and truly practical and loves to teach these skills to others.

Led by Elle, a passionate and experienced arts & crafts facilitator with years of experience, each session is designed to spark imagination and give every child the freedom to express their unique identity through art. From painting and collage to clay and textured art, no two weeks will be the same!
What’s in store: Exciting, hands-on art projects every week A chance to experiment with different materials and techniques A fun and relaxed space to connect with other young creators.

Creative Paper Craft | After school art club term 3
Paper Creativity
Alternative Tuesdays 4 PM - 5 PM

Calling all young artists!
Children will learn basic paper mechanisms to create 3D cards and other paper creations, using skills that they can continue to explore at home. Workshop by Pala from Hola Creativity.
Ages 6 to 12
What to expect
Kids can explore artistic skills in a relaxed, playful environment
Gentle guidance from an experienced teacher
A class to play with paper and develop creativity, working with three-dimensional shapes
Kids develop their ability to solve problems with the projects each week
Your workshop host will be Pala from @Hola_creativity
Number 99 has child-safe policies and the workshop hosts have current Working With Children Checks.

Introduction to Shibori and Indigo dyeing | Michele Elliot
Join Michele for this hands-on workshop to learn Shibori, the Japanese art of resist-dyeing.
Shibori means to bind, wring or squeeze. It encompasses a wide range of resist-dyeing techniques for embellishing cloth, It is a magical process and produces exquisite patterns.
You will learn a range of simple techniques that include folding, pleating and binding. Michele will guide you through these methods to create sample squares and a tote bag, after which you will transform your item with the magic of indigo.
This is an all levels class for adults, beginners are especially welcome!
What you will get:
All materials and tools are supplied.
Morning tea provided.
What to bring:
An apron, cover shirt or wear old clothes as indigo can stain your clothes.
Comfortable, closed-in shoes.
A pair of rubber gloves (the washing-up kind, not the disposable ones).
A waterproof bag or container for any wet items.
