About the event
Unleash your child's creativity this school holidays with an art class at Number 99! Let them make the mess here instead of at home!
Designed for young artists, this 2-hour workshop is inspired by the vibrant and iconic style of Frida Kahlo.
During the class, students will create a personalised portrait, capturing the essence of themselves, a family member, or a friend. Embracing Kahlo's unique flair, each portrait will be framed in a beautiful Mexican-style card frame, perfect for displaying at home.
Our art facilitator Tammie Castles will guide the process:
- Frida Kahlo-Inspired Portrait:
Learn about Kahlo's distinctive style and create a unique self-portrait or a portrait of a loved one.
- Mexican-Style Card Frame:
Craft a stunning niche frame to beautifully showcase the artwork.
Please pack a water bottle and snack for your child.
All ages welcome! If your child is 7+ you are welcome to 'drop & run' or stay and help your child to create their masterpiece.
