About the event

Join Good for the Gong and Yes 2 Renewables for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where we’ll explore the climate challenges facing the Illawarra — and, most importantly, what we can do about them!

This is your chance to connect with others who care about the future of our region and get involved in brainstorming solutions that make a real, lasting impact.

We’ll chat about the climate impacts already affecting our communities and the role renewable energy can plan in protecting our environment, creating meaningful local jobs, and making sure our region thrives for generations to come.

Come along to:

  • Share your personal stories about how climate change is already hitting home

  • Brainstorm local, practical solutions that will protect our communities and create new opportunities

  • Help shape a community-driven plan for a climate-resilient future

Whether you’re passionate about the environment, excited about the potential of renewable energy, or just want to be part of something positive, this event is for you. Bring your ideas, your energy, and your enthusiasm — let's get creative and come up with bold, community-led solutions for a brighter future!

Good for the Gong is an independent, non-partisan group of Illawarra locals who care deeply about climate change, the environment and the future of our community. We want to see an offshore wind project that sets the highest standards for environmental and community benefits.

Yes 2 Renewables is a project of Friends of the Earth, empowering communities to win local campaigns that accelerate the transition to 100 per cent renewable energy.
